Default Reusable oil filter on M8 ?

Anyone running a reusable oil filter on an M8? I have a K&P from the 09 FLTR I just traded for a '19 FLTRX, and am thinking of installing it. These filters are supposed to flow more than the OEM filter. Not sure if I'd want to upset the delicate pressure / scavenge balance.

As cheap as oil filters are, there is absolutely no reason what so ever to even consider doing this. IJS

A reusable oil filter is good for high performance and maintenance intensive bikes. Harleys are the complete opposite. I use a reusable oil filter on my dirtbike since oil changes are pretty frequent and barely uses a quart compared to Harleys. They flow more oil but it doesnt filter them as efficiently as paper filters do.

Let me see a $23,000 or more motorcycle but try to save $12 on an oil filter.. You grew up with that new math didn't you ?

Simular to reusable asswipe. Subquesent uses rarely compare to the first.

Well now that you have heard from the nay sayers, here is some positive input. Yes, I am running a lifetime oil filter on my M8 for almost two years now. It is one of the first things I do to a new bike, I’ve been using them since about 2005. I’m running a PC Racing brand on my bike at this time, but I don’t think there’s a lot of difference between the different makes. I personally think they do as well or better filtering the oil as the disposable ones. So if it is what you want to do go for it.
