New bike now time for new exhaust

Well , I got an offer I couldn't refuse and traded my 17k mile 2017 low rider s in for a 19' street glide special SUPER stoked. But first things first- exhaust!

I put 700 in financing toward an exhaust , didn't order anything because touring bikes , as well as the M8, are entirely new to me. I need some help here. Ideally id like to go for performance, 2 into 1 with a ghost pipe , which okay , looks like 1000 to 1200 but that's not even figuring out if or how to get a ghost pipe. I'd like 2 into 1 for performance, simple stage 1 setting up for cams etc later.

However , with the 700 and maybe scrape together a couple hundred more, my only option really is just slip one. Which is perfectly fine , I need it to be louder but again, would have to have good slip ons for when I change the head pipe etc.

I WILL NOT purchase bassani. I loved the sound and performance on my S but when their exhaust fell apart and they told me to go F myself rather than replace it , I will not give them another dime.

any advice on good sounding , performance slip ons would be great. Rhineharts sounded Good?

Take a look at Fuel Moto Street Outlaws. They have removable inserts that help keep your torque down low and the ability to grow if you do big bore or cam down the road.

Magna Flow Hit Mans and S&S MK45 seem to be very well received here...but there are sooooo many..I like my Street Canons but think I would be giving the Supertrapp Kerker Slash serious consideration if I ever 'needed' to replace mine

MJ, the cops around here have used Kerkers for years. I love that sound they make. It a nice rumble when they take off, but not real loud at idle. The sound is similar to the Rinehart 4" slip-on muffler.

I have been researching this one as well, just got a 19 SGS myself. I am leaning towards the S&S MK45's that come with the db reducer. You can have the best of both worlds so to speak. I haven't found any good data on performance with just slip-ons but RCX has a A/F chart that shows theirs does not affect the fuel mix, other than that they don't have any data. I suspect if any of them improved performance they would be advertising it.

I ordered a set of Rinehart slip ons. A bike had them on at the dealer and I really liked the sound, way more then the softail version which I wasn't a fan of... Getting the 4' versions. There's a guy on craigslist up just north of Newburgh NY selling a what looks like new set for $350, if you're interested. Not sure where in Jersey you are.

You could use that credit you have for a good air cleaner and a tuner and do your stage one and done!
