I’ve wondered why the f posters ask for opinions here, but here I am. Guess I just want to see if there are any pros/cons that I haven’t already mulled on. Im new to the south and year long riding, still only did 6-7k miles last year.

I want the CVO, but my math brain says f no! “You should be happy with 2018 RG you bot last year, after trading in RK. You don’t ride enough, you’re effing over 60!”

Flame on!!
I agree with every reason you have put forward not to do it! CVO is just an image thing for Wealthy people or for poor people who want people, they don't know,to think they are Wealthy.
I can pay cash for any bike I want but I won't spend my money on overpriced Baubles. You shouldn't either!

I could have afforded any Harley they make but chose the Road King twice in a row now because it checks all the boxes for my needs and wants and value...I'm close to retirement now. I agree with both sides, you can't take it with you, treat yourself to what you want if you are able, etc. I faced a similar situation a couple years ago car shopping. Came down to Toyota Avalon and Lexus ES350 and could have afforded either but chose the Avalon for value, it's about 90% of the ES350 for 25% less $$$.

your comment below is only one you can answer though..will she resent you for this or go and say ...Hell. I'm buying myself a new Lexus since he spent that kind of money!

Thats the dumbest s#!t I've read on here in awhile! I say go with your gut, I spent about 24 hours stressing if I should trade my 2017 for a 2019 cvo sgs, I finally listened to my gut, I've busted my *** my whole life and am very fortunate to be in the position to even consider the purchase, not guaranteed one more minute on this earth so I told myself get the bike and enjoy while I can, it had absolutely nothing to do with the image BS quoted above, do it for yourself if it's what you really want!

I have a CVO Road Glide Ultra that I bought new and still love it....36000 miles but I woud not buy another CVO as I dont see the money difference.I bought a new 18 Road Glide base model with GPS and antilock breaks and love it.Its all in what you want and dont let the age thing bother you....I am 72 and still riding 3 to 4 days a week.

Once you have a CVO it's really hard to go back. I'm on my second limited CVO, there's no way i'll buy a regular model again. All the little extras just spoil you.. Especially if you are like me and would add all the chrome and extras anyway, If you are likely to add a bunch to it your better off buying a cvo, at least all the extras have a book value.
Beyond that, the cost difference between the two wouldn't cover half of the upgrades you get with the package, so its a deal from that point of view.

It's your call. They are beautiful, but when you ride one you really don't notice much difference between it and a Special. If you can afford it and want it why not? Myself, I could afford one but I won't spend that much for a bike, but that's just me. You only live once so follow your heart.
