Best Sounding Torque Cam and Exhaust Combo
#11
Do the S&S 475. Later on when you get the itch throw a 124 drop on cylinder kit , a 64mm throttle body and get that 150 tq /140 hp or close to it...……. you know you want to. I love helping people spend their money. Exhaust id do a D&D 2n1, or dragos 2n1

The true answer is ANY cam with a bit of overlap creates inefficiency, especially at idle, causing the misfire or lope we like to hear.
So, with that in mind, IMO purchase any decent low-mid range cams for Baggers and mid-top end cams for Dyna and Softails.
Also increasing compression adds to the idle throb.
Exhaust selection also affects idle sound.
IMO it’s really hard to beat the bang-for-buck sound of a 1999-2016 TC95 or 103” SE211 cams with high compression pistons and a Thunderheader. Just sayin’

If you upgrade your cam. exhaust and intake, with a good tuner and you LOSE low end, get your money back. You got screwed.
Now, when I did my upgrade, I wasn;t running the DB reducers. Still much more noticeable power than stock, but when I put the reducers back in I could immediately tell the difference. M*8's are pretty sensitive so you have to get a good setup.
