The bike you have is a nice bike, I traded in a 2012 street glide with a built 103, with headwork cams and Axtell fit pistons putting out 119 hp. and 124 Tq. I think my new scorched orange street glide with the 114 and a pipe and heavy breather would give my old bike all it could handle!

I see most dealers selling the scorched orange at msrp or more if they are knocking off 1200 bucks and you like the bike and feel it’s a good deal go for it

At your age and your looks, guess you get plenty SEX already, just grab the deal before you regret it! Loved my 103 so I kept it as well but two months later I just had no impulse to get on it anymore!
Sorry had to ask,are you the son of Old Gunslinger?

Hello everyone,
My local Harley shop has a Scorched Orange RG on the floor. (And Available) He’s going to knock off 1200 bucks off MSRP.
Does the 114 run much better than that 103. I have a Road Glide Ultra with 20,000 miles one it. (Offer$17,500). I know it’s got a better radio and other stuff. Unable to test drive because of the weather here in Colorado.
I guess I’m looking for reason for somebody to tell me to do it. Haha..

I had a Road Glide S with a FuelMoto E series 2:1 pipe, PV FuelMoto tune/AutoTune pro kit, with a Feuling 243 cam and my new 114 Road King S Stage 1 is very much faster then the 103 in all areas.

My little 2019 107” only has 500 miles on it but I can say it’s the best power plant I’ve ever had by far.
The smooth acceleration is thru the roof on it.
I can only imagine the power of 114”.

What kind of pipe did you go with?

The only problem with this plan is there is nothing saying they will absolutely come out with a new frame this next model year. It could happen, but if it doesn't then he has missed out on a pretty good deal on a 2019 and a whole summer of getting to ride it.

I would see if they will give you a deal on a color matched tour pak and hardware. Just remember boardtracker has them for 20% below list and free shipping, so if it isn't at least that good a deal you know where you can get what you need.

As far as how good does the 114" M8 do compared to a 103, that I can't tell you. I can tell you that my stage two 107" M8 is right there with my 117" TC up to about 2500 rpm, both are a lot of fun to ride.

absolutely, weigh the risk rewards of that or buyers remorse..but given that pretty much every touring bike manufacturer has gone mono, and HD has with Soft Tails, it seems inevitable and likely not far off.....I don't believe there is much chance of it not being a significant overall improvement in ride and handling..tough call though
