Default Transfer Issue

What is the latest and greatest for the tranny transfer fix? Is the fat clutch rod working? Just turned 15,000 on my 2017 roadglide. Is $tonecold still selling his fix?

I have a couple kits left if you want one, but you won’t be able to pm me until you have 25 posts. The fat clutch rod has been reported to work by those that have tried it. It is less expensive than my fix and easier to install. If I was having the problem I would go with the clutch rod because of the reasons I just gave you.

Please explain to me how having a fatter rod with a flat side is any different than a round skinny rod?

Thanks for the replies. Ordered a fat clutch rod, hope she works. Getting tired of carrying an extra bottle of tranny fluid everywhere I go. Now I know why I could not P/M $tonecold!

I was under the impression that HD finally came out with somewhat of a fix for this? That was how they discovered I had "The Fix" installed. This was under warranty.

Here's the technical explanation:
The 'fatter rod with a flat side' always works. The 'round skinny rod' only works sometimes.

I haven’t seen any description on why the “fat flat rode” works.

I’m thinking that since the issue is due to a lower pressure developing in the primary, it sucks from the transmission. Maybe some primaries leak a little pressure, and thereby didn’t develop enough vacuum to suck from the transmission. The flat side of the rod allows pressure equalization between the primary and transmission. They make it a bit thicker, because the stock rod does not have enough material thickness to create the needed flat, and it would also weaken it....

But, I could be wrong...I thought I was once...but I was mistaken.
