How do you find out when it was built ? I bought mines after that date but have no idea when it was built. I have also been reading about a new oil pump cover that should be installed part #62400206
Look on your frame vin plate will be a four digit number like mine says 10/17, that means Oct 2017, you then can call HD and they can tell you the exact build date. Just give them your vin number.
All of this cam stuff is just getting me more confused, think im doing to much reading into it . Now im hearing i need to also change out the oil pump and cam plate by one of my local shops and that thing is like $700. Im almost ready to just leave it the hell alone.
There's no reason to change the cam plate unless you're having problems. Put that $700 somewhere else.
