Advice/opinions and BAM sticks?
Anyone running BAM sticks with the Zombie baffles on a 19 here?I'm just talking about the slip on mufflers. I've seen the videos, i'm on a FB group. I just wonder what the opinion is on these mufflers. How does just the slip ons sound?
I've never had a M8 until I bought my 19. I haven't even picked it up from the dealer since purchasing in December. Reading the forums makes me wish I would have held on to my 14 instead of upgrading. All my previous bikes I immediately put true-duals on and a Stage 1 to help with heat and the way the bike sounded. I'm really confused which way to go with the M8 and the water cooled heads.
This would be on a 19 Limited.

I had them on my 2018 FLHTK with a fulsac header and didn’t have an issue with the volume, but the raspy tone was too much for prolonged trips. I actually use my touring bike for interstate rides and they were too much over longer distances. I removed the zombie baffles and put the 2.5 in which is better but still not to my liking.
I had CFR on my 2009 FLHTCU which were loud as well but the tone was more of a growl that didn’t seem to be as invasive over a longer trip. The only complaint I had was the loss of bottom end on the TC but a cam swap took care of that and wasn’t all that expensive. I’m seriously considering going this route on my 2018.
When I was looking at the zombies I couldn’t find a lot of sound clips so I made one after they were installed:
Enjoy

Ran 6 different sets of slip ons on my 2017 SGS, Tab zombies being one, all of these were ran on a decatted stock head pipe, stage 1. In my opinion, they had the most traditional Harley sound out of the ones I ran. They were the loudest ones I ran but still not what I would call loud. The tone is what turned me away from them, if you are looking for any kind or depth, these are not for you. Very raspy, kinda tin can tone. Dont get me wrong, they did sound pretty good, just the wrong tone for me and my ears.

Tab Bam Sticks
I installed them on my Road King S 114. I love the sound. I find the tone very pleasing, deep, and not harsh at all. I still have the stock head pipe though. I also replaced the pipe on my wife's sport glide, which is a two into one setup with the cat in the muffler, with a Tab Performance Bam Stick. Hers is a little louder and more raspy, but I still like the sound. I would purchase again. Very good customer service also. Both have the zombie baffles.
