I’ll buy local or from Surdyke, not from boardtracker.

lets see how this plays out and maybe a good spring season bails out the financial mistakes made in the past. don't throw rocks if u live in a glass house.
Rule number one if you own a company is the owner is the last person to get paid. Always pay your money backer first. I alway's quick payed so I could get a extra discount. That discount paid the gas bill. Owning a company requires a lot of self control.

I had noticed a few weeks ago, Boardtracker had posted on the online website that any orders placed were 2 to 4 weeks delivery. I called Anthony and he confirmed regardless of the order, 2-4 weeks delivery. The other day I noticed the website was removed and no response. Luckily I needed my parts faster and went elsewhere. Doesn't look good

I sure would not be wearing something from a business that does not pay their bills. Not paying your bills is just wrong no matter how you slice it.

I fully agree. The money isn't yours, you have to pay it back.

Yep. just imagine how mad you would be when you trade your 17 bike in for a 19. You owe 12K on the 17, which gets rolled into your new loan. Then 3 months later you find out Boardtracker did not pay off your 17 like they promised to do. Now the company you had your 17 financed with is coming after you. Just think how fun fighting this will be, and how it may hurt your credit until you get it fixed. How much will the legal bills cost you?

I used to buy the accessories from Boardtracker but noticed recently their price was getting higher with the same accessories. I now buy the accessories/parts from Surdyke.

Just bought a warranty from Discount ESP/Jim Palmer, looking over the contract and it says Boardtracker as the seller, wonder if that part is included in this?

You are absolutely right about this. This is basically like taking out a payday loan. You usually don't have the means to pay it back in the first place or you wouldn't be going to them to get the loan. Once you do it, you just keep getting further and further in the hole.

Well I guess my relationship with Gold Star is about to become much closer. I have done a ton of business with Boardtracker over the last few years. I hope they get things worked out, but it will be hard.

Just in case any of you are not following the discussion about the Discount ESP, Jim Palmer responded to the thread yesterday and acted like there is nothing to see here. It appears that the thread starter had a reasonable claim denied by Jim Palmer because he had an aftermarket tire installed. Post #59 shows a lot of detail on the OP's case. BTW, Boardtracker online is still offline.
