Default Who has had the Sumping Issue? Poll to determine what updates are related

This is not a thread to marginalize the issue or to somehow 'troll' responses. I have watched YT videos and read a lot of posts here and I have noticed it appears to happen most frequently with engine upgrades than without. The poll is just to see if this may be the case or just uncorrelated nothingness. Matt Laidlaw has stated it appears to be an issue related to Stage 4 upgrades, and Adam Sandoval had his Stage 4 'break' (he has not said it sumped but it sounds like it did).

So, if you have experienced the issue please check the option below. Thanks! Note: this is just for those that had the issue and not for those that did not even if you did any engine mods.

Just for brainstorming this would include 107 and 114 Stock, Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, and Stage 4. I also included 'other' in case the update was for the 122, just a cam change, just a tuner, or some other mod.

Edit: for those of you who had this happen more than once you can choose multiple answers.

It's been beat to death on the forums, several sumping polls posted, I think people are just tired of the subject. Personally I went through 3 stock 107's before they replaced the bike altogether.

Seems to me that if they made it a wet sump motor, it would be impossible to sump, all the oil drops into the pan and can't build up around the flywheel. Why hasn't that been discussed?

Because it’s an irrelavent point unless someone on this forum is an engineer that works at the MoCo.

Just to discuss? Hardley. People talk about stuff they have no control over on HDF all day every day.

I've often wondered the same. They could keep it dry sump and just use gravity to move the oil down into the remote oil pan. That said, HD probably wouldn't ever because of whatever reason, tradition least of all.

You're probably more into gremlin bells and the proper way to wave than anything technical.
