Yes I was using the ignitioin switch. So use the kill switch with the ignition off or run? Thank you.

The ignition switch only needs to be moved one time (from OFF to IGNITION). After that, the rest of the procedure is accomplished through the handlebar controls. You have to be pretty quick on the draw. Any hesitation between steps will result in failure.
