Jamie from FuelMoto said it had something to do with something I can’t remember right now (sorry) but again, deliberate. I noticed it immediately on the bikes.

So yours has definitely stopped doing it completely as a result of the service?
yes. It runs normal now. As im coming to a stop it goes down to 1000 or so where it always was from when i got the bike.

I’m sure they could have but ive spent a **** ton of money there and take care of the service writers and techs so no reason not to give me that good service.

No, not the dealer service dept computer. The digital tech isn’t designed for that. Yet, at least. HD Corp maybe, but not the dealer.

Some say regional service managers have a system with that ability, but no one at a dealer I have a very good relationship has seen or heard of it.

I’ve never heard of anyone having a warranty voided as the result of forensic investigation, only fools who’ve rolled in to the shop with an aftermarket tune actively loaded on their ECM have gotten popped as far as I’ve ever heard.

Ok, but isn’t normal idle 850-900 or so? Does it drop down even more once stopped?

I’m genuinely curious, not some tool just trying to dispute...

I just recently put a FP3 on my SG and my idle would be around 1600 and drop to 950. I called V&H and they made an adjustment to my canned map and downloaded it to me me and it corrected that high idle.

My 18 FLTRX idled at around 900 or so until I flashed it (Stage 1) using the HD SE Pro Street Tuner.... It raised idle to 1k.

Was making me crazy. Thought it was tune related so had been messing around with the tune trying to fix to no avail. Was on the phone way too much with Dynojet trying to get a map that fixed it. Long story short, I brought it in to Harley and I had a bad twist grip sensor and a warped intake manifold. I upgraded to the SE aluminum manifold and only had to pay the price difference between the 2 manifolds and no labor as all the work was covered under warranty. Speaking with the service writer, they have seen the manifold issue on about 20+ M8 bikes so far. Super glad it's solved. Just spreading the good word around if anyone else experiences this. Picked her up last night and took a spin down to the beach. Riding better than ever.

Good thing "badcooky" has gone walkabout, he'd be demanding to see the repair orders for every one of those 20+ bikes LOL
