knew you were lying and couldn't really stay away with your OCD of me..lasted longer than I thought you would so kudos for at least trying..commence stalking my posts as you always do
??????????????? MJ, Can you please lose focus on me, and go back to talking about how your bike is stock, and you dyno'd a stock bike and were so excited about the gains your dealer made you believe? That and riding under 4000 RPM to prevent transfer. No insult, riders are doing what they can do prevent sumping and transfer happening. You seem to be the leading in the easy riding group.. good for you. Ride you $19K HD easy. I am sure you will get some more miles out of her. Meanwhile, us that have spent over 90K, will continue to expect more from HD as we are due.
Really? Nine hours! Man they are raping you on that one. I could do it in two hours, three at the most. Even with solid pushrods. No need to pull the cam if you know what you're doing.
your not kidding....9 hours I can pull the engine put it on the bench do the job and wax it....put it back in and ride 2 hours to lunch. Lol
HD is literally banking on people who won’t/can’t do their own maintenance and upgrades. I smile every time I look at my bike and think about the thousands of dollars I’ve saved by having a service manual and some patience.
As a preventive measure against sumping you basicaly have 2 choices... Harley's cover plate or an aftermarket pump and cam plate from fueling or S&S. I'm going with the S&S setup when I do my cam instal, which I'm hoping to start this weekend.
Exactly what I did. Had the S&S pump and cam plate installed during the stage 2. It sucked to spend $500 on something the MOCO should get right out of the gate, but it's piece of mind and cheaper than dealing with the after effects of sumping.
Probably going to install the fat clutch rod as well to prevent tranny to primary transfer. It's a cheap easy solution to an annoying problem.
