Squeeling sound after stage 2 install?
#11
Last week I just posted the same issue with my heavy breather. Bike sat in the rain for a couple days and then the squeak started - never heard it before that (the only thing I can think of that changed was the rain). Cleaned the filter several times with K&N cleaner until the rinse water ran clear and the squeak went away.

Makes sense. My filter was only on for 2 days when it started and never got wet I'm gonna check all the exhaust shields and fasteners and take apart the air cleaner. If I cant figure something out ill let the dealership take a look at it. Again, the bike runs good but is embarrassing when I pull away at a light and it squeals lol.

AGREED! Same sound mine makes. Shoot, I have buddies with heavy breathers that suck more air than that and it'll catch your ear/attention too.
I think the OP needs a peace of mind and should move forward with his appointment to have them check it out. Me, I'd cancel it Just sounds like air to me.....like blowing a bunch of air into a straw.

With your bike........I could pull up and the tech would just come outside and listen to that sound real quick and decide if they need to bring it in and check it out. I'm not sure how good of a relationship you have with them.

Just noticed..........Columbus, GA. I was a Drill Sergeant at Fort Benning, GA 1999-2001 on Sandhills. Back then I was 28-30 years old, riding sport bikes and hanging out at some carwash on Buena Vista or Saint Marys Road. And then some big park on the weekends.

Definitely intake noise. Exaggerated by open air cleaners. My Opinion is, the tone you get can be attributed to any number of things, like cam profile, too much loctite on breather bolts, gunk in breathers, gunk pooled at throttle blade, type of backing plate and many throttle plates have slack in them.
Glad to hear others get the hum at shut down, Mine does most of the time too,
Good Times!
