Default anyone try the SE 80W140 yet?

for trans or primary, or both...observations/feedback on difference in how clutch and trans feels? guessing might be too new and not sure it's on all the shelves yet...I just did a trans/primary fluid swap so ain't going to dump it just to try...maybe it's unnecessary overkill for most..at $20 a quart as opposed to $8.50 it would have to prove some real benefits to take seriously

Is the SE 80w-140 new, and is it safe for the primary?
I use the Severe Gear from AMSOIL (75w-110) in my M8 transmission. However, It is not wet-clutch compatible so it wouldn't work in the primary. I use the Amsoil primary for that instead. https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produ...140/?zo=331384
I like the way my tranny shifts, smooth and without much clunking. A good track record as it's been around for a while. Dutchy

Wasn't it you that said if it isn't broke don't fix it? I get that statement, but going off that, when there are two major issues out there, neither of which you are having, why change anything? Just askin...

There’s nothing special about it. Just more marketing by the MoCo. I’ll stick to what I’m already using.

doesn't mean I'm 100 % averse to any kind of change ever, or I'd still be lugging around a case of CDs in my car instead of having hundreds of iTunes on my phone, "but going off that", if one of the "two major issues out there, neither of which you are having" you're referring to is the trans fluid transfer to primary...well, I was the one that first brought the issue to light and created the awareness on this Forum 2 years ago after noticing it on my bike, which as I have been reporting all along still experiences the periodic minor annoyance, so there's that..hope I answered your response sufficiently

You did. I was answering your question in sort of the same way. Not directly, but as a joke. If you aren't having issues, why change anything. If you wanted to change something, I'd advise the fat rod and the new oil pump over changing to a heavy gear oil.
