Default Great Mileage with 2019 SGS 114"

I haven't run the actual numbers yet but my trip computer is showing that I am getting around 53 mpg on long rides. My Rushmore got 38-42 depending on the ride and whether or not my wife was riding with me. Going to a larger displacement i thought the mileage would be less, apparently not. The bike isn't completely broken in yet so I expect it to actually get better. I have a trip coming up that will be about 1200-1500 miles, I will be using a mileage calculator on that one. Most of the gas stations in the area I am riding in don't have 10% Ethanol so it could be even better.

Anyone else experiencing better than expected mileage?

The M8 can get great mileage. I average around 50 mpg with mixed riding and have gotten as much as 64 mpg on a long trip down to La taking the Natchez trace cruising at 58 mph which will get you a ticket on the Trace but where my bike was happy in 6th gear without lugging on most sections.

Ignore the trip computer. It's not close. My '19 has shown over 1,200 mpg at times. Last GTS software update might have it a little more accurate. Do the math and you'll know!

I got the same mpg with my M8's as I did with the 103HO, mid to low 40's.

I'm finding the trip computer to be surprisingly accurate.

Mine is completely stock other than Cobra NH slipons and will stay that way most likely. I love getting upwards of 300 miles or more from a tank while still getting to wind out the M8 from time to time..

I could be wrong , but I though the Avg MPG was only calculated when a trip/route is being run through the GPS. You guys are talking about the Avg Speed/Avg MPG block on the Trip Summery tab in the information section of the GTS correct?

Dang, I wish I was still getting close to those kinds of numbers. I'm only getting around 38 mpg now. I think I was averaging around 43 when I only had the stage 1 on the bike. That was done at the 1000 mile mark, so dont have stock bike mpg's to compare with.

I did Stage one on my Dyna and went from 42 down to a best of 27. Sucked having to fill up every 100 miles or so. I ain't touching this bike!!! All the power I really need as is.
