There is a very simple answer....do what I did, I had a 2018 RGS in Candy Hot Rod Red Flake, which was a $3000 upgrade, loved that colour.

Then I decided to buy a 2019 RGS, hated the colours so arranged for the dealer to transfer all my tins from my 2018 to my 2019 RGS

I now have the only 2019 RGS in Candy Hot Rod Red Flake

 

I dont know abt the rest of the HD line but I have to agree with
the OP the Tri Glide colors suck.I really dont care for the two tones
and that puke green looks pretty nasty to me. The only color I like is the twisted cherry
unless you want to settle for black, and any solid color other than black
doesn't look right on the top of the tour pak. That tour pak top really needs a two tone to look good
I really liked that 2018 Sumatra Brown/Smooth Silver
but the only one I found the dealer was just too high on. (Just talkin abt the Tri Glide colors here)

I’m happy with my midnight blue/silver RGU but I think billiard blue/white would have been cool. I’ve only seen it on the Heritage though.

 

Dealer switched tins from an 18 he had on the floor so I have the only 19 in this color.

 

And I got the only 19 in Candy Hot Rod Red Flake, welcome to the club, my buddy has also done it in the Polar white, guess HD dont know good colours when the issue them....lol

 

What do they charge for that? Anything to make a new sale I guess. They seem kind of desperate to sell bikes these days.

 

When I bought my bike, I was originally liking the Blue Max, but then I started to wane on the little design on the scheme. I liked the color itself, just not the stripes. Then the wicked red started to grow on me, and that’s what I went with. It has a nice orange flake in the sun.

 

When I was young an old Harley guy told me "Harleys come in two colors ...... black and ugly!". Now I'm an old Harley guy and everyone one I have owned has been black! I'm old school ....... never got past loving the look of black and chrome!
