The dreaded speedo condensation...
#11
In one of the John Maxwell youtube videos he mentions them fogging. I have had what looks like drips on the inside all three touring bikes (2014, 2016 and now 2019) I've owned. My understanding is that they have a small hole in them to vent, and in high humidity states, they sometimes have what appears to be drips or small droplets of water on the bottom, nothing to worry about, but damn ugly in the right light.

Disassembly - Not that difficult
On my 2017 RGS I replaced the face plates with custom ones from Speed Gauge Customs. Although he will do it for you if you want him to and are willing to pay for it, he also has instructions on how to do it. Removing the gauge glass is the first step, so if you want to remove your glass, clean it, and maybe try to find a solution to the problem you could follow his instructions. I am attaching them for those that would like them.

Speedo Fog
I also have it on my Road Glide but have started to cover the speedo/tach pod with a plastic bag when I wash the bike. Not a permanent solution...
My 06 Dyna had it from day one and I asked the dealership I purchased it from to do something about it. After about 6 weeks, sorry HD say it's normal and they won't do anything to fix it. Fast forward to 2016 and the speedo goes belly up. Had to buy a new one...I now cover it when I wash the bike. My experience has been that once the fog has formed, there is no way short of disassembling the unit to stop it. It will come and go but in the end it can destroy the unit. I have used a hair dryer and a bike dryer to try to dry the unit without any success.
