Question The dreaded speedo condensation...

Seen lots of threads about it I've never read and in over 40 years of riding never thought about it till today. Had this bike over 2 years, my commute vehicle when it isn't raining and never had a problem. Fine this morning, this afternoon not so much, crap. Aside from taking a hair dryer to this thing please clue this old knuckle dragger on the latest " fix ", I'm leary of it puddling and popping the LCD or something

My FLHR had 2 replacement speedos under warranty for this issue. The best thing to do is wheel the bike into the sun and let the moisture evaporate. If you ride it, the moisture forms droplets and leaves ugly streaks on the inside of the glass. My 3rd speedo seemed to be immune but it’s just happened again. It’s the cheap **** they spray in the inside of the glass......apparently speedo repairers use a much better spray which doesn’t do it.

I’m going to get mine fixed with the good spray as I know a bloke who fixes speedometers for a crust........once I can’t read the thing.

Mine has it too. I just got over it and don’t even notice it now.

Unfortunately, every Harley I've owned has had this issue. My new bike doesn't have it yet, but I'm sure that it will eventually. When it does, I'll just ignore it and ride on.

There is no fix, the units are unsealed from my understanding. I just ignore it.

Yeah what I figured , in all my years on these things this is a first. Was cloudy in the morning but bike sat in the sun at least 4 hours, that's when it happened. Weird.

I am on My 7th Harley and never had this problem untill I bought a new 2017 Limited. They would not replace it under warranty because, They said that They are trying to determine a solution for the problem. They have never found a solution and now out of warranty.

I just ignore it, most of the time it is clear, then some days it clouds up a bit. My sportster did it, the Dyna does it and the RK not so much. Won't hurt anything just another "Harley thing" remember your Harley has "soul"
