Default M8 Oil Transfer

I have a 2017 Ultra Low. Just had the 10K and service said there was an issue with too much oil in primary and lower levels in tranny? They said they called HD and was told to check levels frequently? Is there something more that can be done?

If you want to stay under warranty do what Harley says. There's been a lot of M8's with this issue including mine.I fought with Harley for 2 years till they put a breather on the back side of the primary. The best thing you can do is find a harley rep. at a bike rally and tell him your problem and he will fix it. There is a lot of comments on this subject here on this forum. I'm not saying the fat clutch rod don't work but if you have anything problem your SOL.

Hello,
Could you make a picture of the breather on the back side of the primary? I will send it to my dealer.

Is there any verification from those who’ve had that vent installed that it actually worked?

I've heard a couple people state it was the answer for them. My vent was installed yesterday. Should get my bike back soon. I'll let everyone know after a few tanks.

Drilled a starter bolt all the way thru case and tig welded a small bleeder nipple to it......didn’t have a lot of transfer but none now....so I bet that vent will work.
