Liability Insurance policies which remove depreciation from a claim and lock in replacement coverage for as long as you own the bike, are available to bikes/riders in: Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, California, Arizona, Georgia, and Texas.

Since you're no longer with DiscountESP, can you answer this: is my DiscountESP plan valid and worthwhile? Has it been affected by the Boardtracker fiasco?

 

The contracts sold are administrated by First Extended / Assurant and insured by Virginia Surety. Boardtracker H-D dba Discount ESP was just the selling dealership. They are involved with the claims process, which can create a delay. The contracts are valid and even if BHD never reopens, FE will still provide coverage.

I'm not recommending current clients to cancel their current plan; however, anyone looking for coverage should consider a better option:
1. $0 Deductible at any H-D Dealership or Independent Repair Facility
2. Wear and Tear Coverage for the Major Components
3. Nationwide Coverage - If your dealership doesn't want to "honor" the extended service plan, you can process the claim yourself.
4. Aftermarket Component Coverage is available

 

I will tell you besides the power commander / pipes & muffler BS and now this with a ESP plan I am still paying for..... Been riding Harley's since 1993 owning many... I own 2 now.... They will be the last I ever buy UNLESS HD really changes their ways big time, which I know they will never do... All the motor company wants to do is take money from us.

Really a damn shame, I am truly heart broken of this. Years ago we were a "family" that would never leave you on the side of the road.

This is an admirable position and a noble thought to take.
However, unless 1,000's of Harley buyers take this position it will be of no consequence.
Maybe, with the current slow-down of sales, Harley is starting to get the message.

Meanwhile, I'll keep my '13 RK..
