Default Warranty

Just traded my 16 road glide special for a 19 rgs 114. I was wondering do I have to use a hd exhaust? To keep the warranty intact?

Depends if you’re asking exhaust or mufflers. If you’re asking about exhaust you will need to use something that is EPA compliant and a Harley tuner. I have used the S&S full exhaust with high flow cats in the mufflers on a couple bikes and liked the results. S&S also makes a compliant 2 into 1 exhaust. I am not aware of any other manufacturers other than S&S and Harley that make compliant exhaust. You should be able to use whatever slip-ons you like as long as you don’t alter/remove the cat in the headpipe. Like with the full exhaust if you use a tuner it it will have to be a Harley tuner.
Good Luck and enjoy the new bike...

depends on your definition of 'exhaust'..emissions defeating headpipes with catalysts removed is a no no, and if you want to be slip-on compliant you should consider, for example, V&H Monster Rounds which are certified/tested EPA compliant..many mufflers state by the manufacturer to be 'not intended for street use'..or 'closed course competition only', etc, but the general consensus is they'd have to prove those were the cause of a powertrain failure which is not something that seems likely..but the MOCO may / can play that card if they want to of course..slip on mufflers are typically the least of owners' powertrain warranty compliance concerns

You could ask the people that provide you with the warranty

You are correct but in this case I bought the bike about thirty minutes before closing and had to be at the airport shortly there after. So I did not take delivery of the bike and will not be able to for a week. So please excuse my question. I’m sure when I take delivery of it I will be able to ask questions about such things.

Warranty related questions should be asked to the Service Manager, Not a Salesman or Parts Dept. employees.

This is a slippery sloop HD has the right to void your warranty i will do it a spilt second if you don't comply with them has it was mention in another post check with the service manager first not sales people. If you want to make changes to your bike why buy a new model leave them stock thats were Harley and the EPA wants them you cant do much at all to these new motors at all.

This is why I don't buy a new bike, yes I have road them and like the performance but they sound like **** even with after market mufflers on them. So I will stick with my 2015 maybe buy a used 17 to 19 later after everything runs out then don't have the big investment of new and can change whatever I want.
