Oh! I thought you knew everything there was to know about the M-8 because you read it here. I guess you missed the part where mine sounds like a Harley, and no, I didn't void my warranty. It was probably mixed in with all those other posts from happy M-8 owners that you also missed.

I guess I'll see you over in the Sporty forum. Oh,,, no I wont. I don't own one, and haven't ridden one, so I won't go on the Sporty form to tell all the owners what my uninformed opinion of their bike is.

EXACTLY what I was thinking! But why try to justify it to us, I have no idea.

1200 "Iron" white? Yup. Girl's bike. Hey, you chose to post your girly-man, troll, scared of the M8 diatribe on the M8 forum. What do you expect? The white sporty looks awesome though. Good thing you're an HD master mechanic. You can really soup that baby up! hahaha

It would be great if everyone who will not be buying an M8-based bike and have a strange need to tell everyone about it could restrict their posts to this thread.

Yet again, you appear to be grossly misinformed. You can do a stage 1, 2, 3 or 4 to that Street Bob and maintain your factory warranty, you simply have to maintain EPA compliance with your tuner and exhaust choices is all. There are plenty of exhaust choices out there now that sound good.

Making changes to the sound on one bike and comparing it to the sound of another stock bike, doesn't make much sense does it?

Sportsters are girls bikes or bikes for people that can't afford a big one, period. I'd buy me one to cut the grass but that's about it.

I would never trade my M8 Touring bike for a sportster.

Heck I see more female types riding Street Glides and Road Glides than Sportsters these days!
