Transmission Primary Lube Migration

ok, throwing this out there...BUT, I don't recall in the 2 years since I started this whole conversation anybody with a trike ever reporting this problem and I've probably read as many posts as anyone on this..my wife's trike has never lost a drop of trans fluid but my Road King has experienced minimal amounts..the obvious differences being trikes never lean over...

My first '19 didn't transfer any in the first 7,400 miles but it sumped and sumped again after repair! My second '19 Limited hasn't sumped but would suck the trans dipstick dry in a tank of fuel. Don't really think leaning has anything to do with it. It's just a game of chance.
Have about 1,700 miles now with the inner primary vent kit installed. Level hasn't moved. Just waiting for this one to sump! ..... if this one sumps Harley can kiss my a$$

Question , has anyone had one migrate out enough oil to damage the transmission?
I think My 18 FLHTCU is migrating. Just checked the trans and no oil on the stick. I didn't check it when I got home to verify they filled it to the correct level so that's on me, 1k service was done at the dealer, 1600 on it now.

Your point is fundamentally flawed when you claim Trans fluid transfer has never occurred prior to M8.......it has occurred and in 103”s and may well have on others. There has (for as long as I can recall) been a seal between the trans and primary which has on occasion leaked.
Just another point to clarify - the Hydraulic clutch preceded the M8s also.

Guys keep saying that trans level doesn't matter, as long as oil is being slung around. That just doesn't jive, why would MOCO put that X on the dip stick if it was not important.
In fact if you think about it MOCO allows enough migration that they contradict themselves.
Getting the vent from MOCO tomorrow, mechanic told me this weekend that there is a 100% success rate with this. It's funny that a primary vent was first suggested when this problem began to really take off in late 16-early17.

I pulled the dipstick out, stuck a rod down to the bottom of the sump to get an idea of how much was actuallyin it. Sitting on the jiffy stand it measured just 1/4" below the tip of the dipstick. Still about an inch in the bottom of the case. Called dealership today, bringing it in this Friday so they can have a look.
