Something over 15K (miles) LOL on front and rear and lots of tread left.
Inflated 2 pounds over cold. I ride like a normal human.

I pulled the factory-installed tires yesterday at 17,500 miles on my 2018 RGU. Neither tire was down to any wear bars. But they were ratty, noisy. I could have ridden another 5k on the rear almost for sure before it became unsafe. The front, maybe another 2k. If I was willing to put up with the grainy feel and noise.

Replaced with a set of American Elites. These tires spoon onto the Harley wheels "easily" compared to some others I've worked with. They seat well without having to squeeze them with a strap. These new tires are smooth, quiet, good handling.

My OTD price ended up being $313 and change. To boot I got a free wash of the bike which it needed. Given the opportunity I will buy online and have an Indy change it for $45 but let this one get away from me and the tread got too low. I just expected more miles out of the tire and wasn't keeping a good eye on it. From the last time I checked until I saw the tread being scary low was my bad.

Replace it with every 5k service. Michelin Scorcher 240 on Breakout rides good but doesn’t last. I expected this with the wide tire.

I got 7k on my OEM. I really want to try the new Metzler Cruztec. They are sport bike inspired tires built for a big V twin. They have a very aggressive profile for turning but use dual compound technology for longer life.

What are you guys paying, all in, to purchase and install two tires. I'm thinking the American Elites or the Michelin lls. I'm gonna need a set soon, because the rear tire is starting to howl, in the corners. Dutchy

Same here. Thks for your post. From reading some of the posts here, I was starting to think I was all alone in still having a lot of tread left at this mileage.

This x1000.

I am blown away by guys saying they are getting 15k or 20k out of a tire. I can't even imagine that. Nor can I imagine not cupping tires.

It's all about how hard you push the bike and the we environment you ride in. It is impossible not to cup your tires if you ride aggressively.

They replaced my front with a little over 9K for a broken belt or something. I have 12K on the rear tire and will probably replace it at 14 K. It's getting a little noisy when cornering now and not much tread depth. Those were both the Dunlop Harley tires. I ran the Commander's previously and got similar milage but I think they handled slightly better in the rain. I may try the Elite on the back when I change it.

I've always replaced my OEMs with the Dunlop Elites. I usually get 18-19 out of the rear stocker and 21-23 from the rear Elites.
