Interesting how the majority of “problem” threads are now about primary transfer and not sumping.

yeah, his 1st post..134 views and only 1 person responded..believe everything you read on the internet much do ya' ? if you're a member over there ask him to post his R.O., simple request with simple effort from him...so his story is he told the dealer he was concerned about sumping CVOs, they said no worries. he bought one and it sumped just past the 500 mile break in period and destroyed the motor and brackets above the motor..R.O. is what these folks need to post, could be total bs for all we truly know

"I purchased a 2019 Limited recently
I questioned the dealer and was told the 2019 did not have any problems with sumping the issue was resolved
I put 940 km (584 miles) on the bike and the dealer picked it up due to sumping
They have now had it for about 3 weeks i am waiting on the new motor (I insisted a new new motor or they could keep the bike)
The dealer tells me they have torn the motor down and checked everything and can find no reason as to why this has happened
The engine got hot enough that it melted some of the brackets above the engine
After doing some research i can not seem to find any real solution or any feed back from Harley or the dealership as to what to do with this
I do alot of long rides and i am worried about being stranded in the middle of no where with a brand new bike

All this for a bike that is 4 days old"

This is my Second M8 no issues and the first one was a 18 CVO. M8 is a great running engine, and if I have a issue I'll get it fixed. Life is to short to worry about what you can't control..

Default Venting

I am not mad about all the transfer posts. It helped me be aware of a possible problem. Yes I have a 19 with the transfer problem. With out the posts I doubt I would have caught it coat while or if the dealer would have said anything. I guess if you read the title and it talks about transfer, don't read it. I think people that drop 30 grand and have transfer want to vent. I guess that's how I feel. When I see people with a new bike I want to say did you check this? But I don't.

A lot of people don’t reach out to forums until they need them.

I guess with some of the responses that we’ve seen lately to sumping, we should go ahead and start posting that the transfer threads are BS and the ones who report it are full of sh@t.

I wouldn’t call it a fix. Too many of us are running around without the seal with no issues.

I've had the bike for a month with 150 miles...no problems
