Interesting how the majority of “problem” threads are now about primary transfer and not sumping.

no, we just need more facts and less farble garble....we know these issues exist..my response to Heatwave about his post has more to do with how he repeatedly defends his 'knowledge sharing' as being about just reporting the facts..I'm challenging him on that because he doesn't know for a fact about some of the reports he posts about here

While I know some have both issue and many others. Many do not. Who the heck knows why. Hitting 30,000 on my 2017 now and it has a sidecar.
Just beat it hard riding in TN no transfer no sump issues. The compensator has not blow up. Frame tweaked due to slightly different length shocks. yes that is a new one being put out there.
and so on. That does not mean it won't sump or transfer tomorrow.

I've experienced it on four occasions. First two shortly after purchasing the bike resulted in significant repair (warranty). The next two did not result in any damage, as I was fortunate enough to immediately recognize what was going on as it happened and able to address in time. All documented. Satisfied with my dealer and MoCo support.
Multiple factors seem to play into if and when a bike sumps. For me, it always involved air temps in the mid-90s and above. My bike is running great - has all winter and all spring. Feeling good so far but I will feel much better when we get through the Summer without incident.

Bought my 2019 Street glide (107) in April.
Bike started sumping during break-in. I did not really notice it besides the bike felt less peppy, nothing very obvious.
Dealer caught it at 1000 mile service. It had 38 ounces in the sump.
It ended up being a broken oil pump seal that happened at the factory. No damage to engine just busted seal.
Dealer offered me to install stage 1 and 2 (torque) free labor and obviously I jumped on the offer since I was within 60 days of purchase.
I also had them add UV dye in transmission just in case.
Well, 300 miles later, transmission dipstick was dry.
Dealer installed the vent fix and no problem since.
Stuff happens, that's why there is a warranty.
It's annoying but not the end of the world and I got free labor on stage 1 and 2 install!!!
Those 2 issues are the most common issues with M8,
So hopefully I should be out of the woods.
HD Stage 2 torque is awesome btw.
Oh yeah,
I had more issues with my wife's Mercedes CLA45 AMG in the past year than my last 4 HD bikes combined.

I thought about registering just to ask that new guy to post his R.O. so we could 'see what the professional diagnosis and repairs were'..but I'd have probably said..pics or it didn't happen..just noticed he has 200 views now with still only the 1 response, so I'm sure a portion of the 199 aren't buying his story..pretty damn easy to post a pic these days and for those that won't oblige I just can't blindly accept their internet stories as the truth...need to try and filter out some crap anyway
