How do you keep your muffler tips clean?
Particularly interested in options for effective cleaning/maint the inside edges on slant cut tips such as on the Magnaflow 4.5 Hitman muffler tips?
I love everything about these mufflers after several thousand miles, and I want to keep the contrast of the silver/back looking sharp.
Wondering if gas or carb cleaner is ok to break down the crud followed by a good soapy wash and polish would be ok.
I’m not getting any response out of manufacturer on this so I thought I’d check here.

Wow, 20k on my 17 RG and I've never pulled a saddle bag for washing, never even washed the rear wheel other than a rinse with a hose. I'm just too damn busy riding and bugs are way more of concern.
As for those muffs, they look cool but also look like billet which means the probably have a clear coating on them. If you use gas or any kind of harsh chemical it will eat the coating off and then you're screwed.
I'm old school, I use dove or palmolive dish soap to wash and Pledge is just as good as any expensive paint detailer on the market.
Just my 2 cents.

I am going to try aluminum wheel cleaner for mine, the kind that is for coated wheels. I think it's best to use that kind since there is likely a coating on those and the ones for non-coated wheels are like spraying acid on paint. I have the same mufflers and the same issue, the right one won't clean up. I guess I need to give it a go and report back.

I have exactly those pipes. Tried everything I could find but a squirt of break cleaner was the only thing that worked. Be sure to hang some towels to prevent overspray onto painted surfaces. A squirt and a wipe and they look good as new. A QTip to get the corners and presto. That contrast is back.
