ride the bike at Texas interstate highway speeds. Then check the oil. No oil on dipstick. Let idle in upright position. Check oil. Oil on dipstick repeat where is the oil going? Do you think that it's hanging out up in the head and just takes a long time to drain back down into the oil take? I was getting ready to go on a very long trip and I wanted to know if my bike was going to have problems with its oiling system so I went out and put it through several Paces. No I did not continue to ride it for a long time with oiling problems so I did not have a catastrophic failure but I could predict what my oil what level was going to be on my dipstick dipstick based on the last few minutes of how I was riding it. You people who say there's no sumping I just don't understand it

And if you had provided my exact quote, I would have had no issue. As I clearly stated my personal estimate is that the incidence of sumping in all M8 bikes is between 3-7%. The SWAG is an unknowable unless every bike owner was going to perform the sumping test prescribed in SB 1450 on every M8 bike.
If you're going to ascribe a specific quote to a specific person, try using the person’s actual quote instead of what YOU think they said. Copy & Paste is a pretty simple process.
And BTW, why would you suggest I take another vacation? You're not one of those snowflakes that needs a "safespace" from opinions you disagree with.... are you?? Lol.

he was on that new report from a newbie over there too like a Pit Bull on a Poodle..guessing he has alerts set up, should probably configure his account settings to automatically link updates here since he spends all his time on this subject..he did say no detailed updates yet so that's forthcoming from him

No back pedaling on my part. I stand behind EVERY post I make. If I'm wrong, I acknowledge it. If I'm right, I state why I believe I'm right. The vast majority of the time I share facts with sources. The rest of the time, I share my opinions and state so. For the guys in need of a "safe space".... well .... you're best off looking somewhere else.
In this case, someone decided to inaccurately quote me on something I never said. But that's pretty much par for alot of the foolishness that goes on in here. No big deal from my perspective. I'm off to the Rockies for some motorcycling in the mountains. Don't get too bored without me here to supervise! LOL.

Mine did it for the second time Saturday.
Stopped at a truck stop to check the oil and then let it idle a couple of minutes while it was upright. No help.
Was able to make it to the service dept before they closed.
They wheeled it into the emergency room and pulled the cps plug and drained 32oz out of it.
They called this morning and they are going to do a teardown per HD. I'll report anything they find as a cause.
Dealership is doing a great job communicating and keeping me informed.

Can you refresh the thread on your bike and build that sumped?

2019 Road Glide Ultra 114
January 2019 build.
Sumped at 1950 miles and again at at 2500.
Dealership mentioned that this is the first 2109 they've seen do it.
Their head tech is performing the teardown and I was able to visit with him, pretty sharp cat.
I'm confident they'll get this taken care of so we can be back on the road and enjoying the bike. I don't want another bike or brand, I want this one.
