According to KBB, you made out quite well, and he took it in the pants(trade in wise). 10k & 14k currently for the regular break out & 14k & 18k for the CVO (trade in and selling outright prices).Bar hoppers don't do that well though. CVO's in general probably don't hold their value quite as well. But comes down to what you're willing to take. Take a stock bike with a bunch of extras and or fancy paint against a CVO, it probably won't do as good. Especially insurance wise if totaled.

Like mjwebb, I am enjoying my Laguna Orange Road King! All tweaked to my liking, maybe a little bigger in the motor However, I would certainly stop in to see a CVO King in person. But that's how I ended up with the one I have .....

It will be wise for Moco to add RG Limited and Trike Limited it will make more attractive and practical at the same time.

I can't disagree with you there. I have much better negotiating skills than my brother. lol

At any rate, he paid almost $10,000 more than I did initially. He would have still lost almost $10,000 even if he sold it outright at $18,000. I could have possibly caught the right buyer for mine at $15,000. The tax credit made it worth while for me on the new bike.

By no means is that even close to a measurement. As you said, you're a better negotiator than your brother.
When I traded in my 05 Ultra, I laughed at their initial offer and nearly got up.
I got nearly twice what they originally offered all said and done.

Your brother was just an easy sell, that's all.

I for the most part I buy and pay cash for a new bike every year. It has nothing to do at all with keeping up with the Joneses. Good he’ll i don’t even know any Joneses.😂
the main reason I buy one every year is simply put, because I CAN. I Could care less what people say or think. I do my own thing.
