I don't know where his head is but I will say that a lot of guys get hung up on the dyno number over an off the shelf product almost getting the same. Building a machine vs buying items and bolting them on is huge and coming from a racing background I'll tell ya I've been beat by bikes with much less HP either from sleeping at the light or weight factor. You can have equal numbers but if your opponent weighs a 130 dripping wet and you weigh 250 it makes a difference.
Also at the track, every hour is different, as the temperature gets hotter or becomes humid you need to tune it. I don't care if you're running 1,000 hp on Nitro, if it ain't tuned right for that run, you're toast.

When I say I build my own bikes doesn't mean I do my own machining, porting or R&D. I leave that up to the professionals, my job is to ride the machine which by far is the smallest part in the whole team but the one the gets the most attention.

ET does have some of the variables you have mentioned that can influence it.
I guess we'll continue to disagree on the track testing. Both differences in weight between rider and bikes and difference in coefficient of drag between the two bikes, and prevailng wind, temp, and humidity will have a significant inflluence on MPH. The dyno is the only reasonable way to eliminate that.

well regardless of who is testing it, the bike looks very nice, and build appears to be impressive.

WOW, you swapped heads for a 2 hp gain !

Thought 1:1 hp/cu or more was good for a street motor, going 124 myself but have to manage my expectations compared to numbers achieved by others
As a stg2 107 RS468 got 96/115 sae, below par compared to all the comparison tests

$100,000 to obtain less HP than an off the floor bike under $20,000?

Ummmm...okay.

I did just go back, it was stated that someone put 100,000 into this bike. Now you are saying only 6k in the motor. That's slightly different.

Even then, there not much Harley left in that motor.
