But if they wont, is 200 a deal breaker for you? kind of a wash on the parts discount
No $200 is not a deal breaker. It's the principal. They are either not bright enough to know or they do it intentionally hoping you don't know any better. Neither instills a lot of confidence.

No it doesn't, print this out and discuss the lower price with them when you get to STEP 1 & 2. https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson....9?locale=en_US

I was charged 5 hours labor for the cam install the end of Feb 2019. (I did not get a dyno tune.)

However, my selling dealer was along the lines you are being quoted; I just went to another dealer nearby.

I have a feeling they are going to tell me that's not possible....or the install won't be "legal" unless they put it on the dyno.
this is what I did, got the cam installed with the canned tune, it ran great did 3 or 4 auto tune runs on my own, ran exactly the same, zero complaints, it runs great, don't over think these things to much.

I'm pretty sure with them doing the HD/EPA approved stage 2, their canned map will work just fine. No dyno needed. But yes, you can run the smart tune as much as you want.

The "program" is some software that will come with your SEST tuner. Make sure they give you all that/ It';ll be on a CD. Install it to your laptop, and everything is spelled out pretty well. There are also videos out to walk you through the processes or installing maps and running the smart tune feature.

So I talked to the service manage today who wasn't there yesterday. Talking to the right people makes all the difference. 5.5 hours + parts, canned tune. Parts are ordered and job is scheduled for Monday. I changed from the Street Cannons to the Supertrapp Fatshotz. Both are in the SE catalog.

I can do all that in 3, plus the inner cam bearing. Cam swaps on these bikes are a breeze.

Yesterday they were at 10 hours. I'm happy with 5.5. Hope I made the right decision with the Fatshotz. They sound goo in YouTube videos.
