Getting ready to do an SnS 124 kit, looks like I need a valve spring compressor. Is there a special one for the M8? Or is Jim’s my only option? Don’t really wanna spend the money on Jim’s when I’m gonna use it once but if I must I Will.
I just used that same tool on my Ural (pretty far cry quality-wise from my Harleys, but very entertaining). The tool worked very well and due to its design, should work well on any small OHV head.
I used an old-timey valve spring compressor and it worked perfectly. A racing buddy had one laying around, and I'll bet anything somebody you know has one laying around. If not, you can get them dirt-cheap.
