2020 M8's have the Primary Vent Factory Installed
 

I went to my dealer today to do a bit of window shopping. I've seen a few questions here about the 2020 M8's having or not having the Primary vent installed from the factory.

I can confirm, my dealer had about 12-2020 M8's in stock. I checked every one of them and they all had the Primary Vent installed from the factory.

I checked some left over 2019's and I couldn't find one with the vent installed but I didn't look at production dates either.

What was funny is the sales person that was tailing me was wondering what I what doing. I explained a bit about the transfer from the transmission to the primary and reason why I was checking. He was clueless about the vent.
I had to turn the light on my phone on and show one to him. Then I told him if one of his customers asks about the vent, you can show them. LOL.....

Yep, the late model 19 have it.

Didn't take any pics. I figured there are enough pics on this forum that everyone knows what the vent looks like and where it is at...

My 2019 Triglide has the vent; it was built on May 14 2019. There was another on the floor built the first week of May and it did not have the vent

If folks started requesting the vent as a condition to make a new bike sale then I guarantee you they would install it.

I never saw a photo of the installed vent either? I know about the vent tube it always had coming out near the top trans cover. Where is the other one?

the vent is above where the drive belt goes into the motor
You kinda have to dig to find it.
