I've come to the conclusion...
I have been a forum member here for years, and I love this site. Many forums I read daily, however, not mentioning any names, this forum is really a bummer.... Riding a bike is supposed to be fun! Talking about bikes is supposed to be fun! Camaraderie is supposed to be fun!
That said, I can no longer read this particular forum daily, when the "Did the M8 kill Harley Davidson Part III" comes out, I will lose my mind. My recommendation, go out ride and have fun! The sky isn't falling, I assure you of that! Leave the naysayers, the chicken littles, the depressed people here to discuss whatever they want.... Maybe they should join a club, call it the Depression Riders of Nowhere. |
I keep an open mind and try not to let a difference of opinions bother me. With that said I recently traded my 2013 CVO Road King for a 2018 Fat Boy 114 and am very pleased with my decision!

I read them and keep it moving. sometimes I comment on them, sometimes I don't. I just don't worked up over them at all. Trolls will be trolls.
|
What I find ironic is that I hear more Harley bashing on a forum dedicated to Harley's than I do out in the "real world".

Lol... if there are that many post about things tearing up on the M8 then that ought to tell you something. I'm glad you and however many others are problem free with their new bike. One day when your's sumps or transfers then you can join in on the conversation. I find it funny how many of you want to act like there's not a problem and want to believe its internet mumbo jumbo.. Really!!!!!
I've had 2 M8's and my buddy has had 2 M8's My first at 1600 miles = motor replacement second sumped at about 2000 miles but idle time cleared it up and no more problems.. traded it in My 2019 sumped at 11500 miles but cleared within a couple of miles.. since installed vent cap.. we'll see. My buddies 2017 sumped at 23000 when stage IV was installed... fixed failed...fixed failed... fixed failed.... finally traded it in. His now a 2018 stage II... no problems yet So summary.... in our little circle of friends we have at some point had about 8 M8's... 3 have sumped |
