i don't know if its available in Canada but i got a pretty good rate from progressive. my garmin zumo 665 got kocked off the bike and run over by a couple of cars....they sent an adjuster out, looked at the bike and where/how the gps was mounted and cut me a $750 check for a new GPS and shipping. think i've had them since about 2005

We have been getting hosed up here for years and even more now. The NDP government cut a deal with the current Liberal government in Ontario that for their support, they would give the province a 15% reduction in Insurance rates. Of course we all know this would NOT happen and the Liberal government up here in Ontario had to have had taken some "gifts' from the insurance industry hence her not honouring the deal. Of course the current premier Kathleen Wynn, has other more important issues like social engineering of her lifestyle choice agenda on the rest of us. Take one look at this "current" leader and read up on her and you will understand what we are dealing with and insurance rates are currently on the back burner.

Just my two cents and last I checked I'm still able to form and voice an opinion, although more and more as our rights deteriorate, the term sedition is thrown at us for those opinions. Sorry for the rant.

I've been with Allstate forever, and got my "A" endorsement 2 years ago (driving car 50+ years with 6 star rating). On my 2 year anniversary, as a new rider, I was expecting a substantial cut from my current $1,100 premium. I was told it was now 4 years before a reduction would come. I got pissed and started shopping around. Damn !! ,,, the better known companies won't even underwrite a rider whose MC endorsement is less than "3" years old. I'm sticking with Allstate, both out of necessity, and where at least I know the claims experience is 100% no BS.

I did, during my search, get an on line quote from TD Insurance and they were 1350 and 1550 respectively for standard and premium coverage(s). They had a junk coverage which came in at 650 but I'm too long in the tooth to bite on a bargain policy needing Lawyers to execute a claim.

Yeh, we pay waay too much in BC for insurance.
With our max safe driver discounts, we pay.
$1400 for each car with full coverage and about $110 per month for the bike with liability only.
Here's a good reason the rates are so high for our ICBC insurance.

I dropped them 2 years ago. First year I got a good rate then they went sky high for no reason. I've had Rider's Plus too and they went up. Now I'm with Aviva. Every year I check rates at renewal.
