GEICO blows IMO. Had them for over 10 years, got a speeding ticket that was being contested and they tried to TRIPLE my rate. When I complained and said the ticket was being contested they said nothing they could do. Dropped them in a heartbeat and will never deal with them again

I use an independent insurance agent, that I can see in person. And my insurance company doesn't spend tons of money on ads like the Commie Progressive or GEICO.
I have almost all my insurance with Acuity, who is a patriotic company, that treated my son great when he was deployed, while working for them.
And they're a Wisconsin company, too.

I am an attorney and I specialize in motorcycle injury cases. I own 13 bikes. When premiums go up a lot, that means the company is trying to discontinue writing insurance in your state. Trust me, all insurance companies know what their competitors are charging. Often times it is no longer profitable to continue writing insurance so they raise rates on purpose. Every state is different and has different companies that write insurance. You really can't make comparisons from state to state.

Since day one of Progressive using Flo, their ads have belittled men. I figured they just wanted women riders. Because of their treatment of men in their commercials, I find it hard to understand why anyone with ***** would knowingly select progressive as their insurance carrier.

If they had treated women or minorities they way they depicted men, they would have been defending themselves. At least the lizard is gender neutral, though both companies are typically more expensive and have poorer ratings than what your local agents could provide for you.

They succeed because people are lazy and don't care.

Looks like I'm dropping Flo here in NJ too. The lizard is 25% cheaper for my new SGS. Been with Flo for years but they doubled me from a '15 Kawasaki Voyager.
