They succeed because people are lazy and don't care.
People could do much better with independent insurance agents, and get personal service.

Just shows that spending tons of money on ads works. I would never use Progressive because of their politics, but their ads that constantly ridicule older, bald White men, annoy me too.

I was with Progressive with my Suzuki 650, full coverage for around $120 per year. When I got the Harley, their renewal quote for the same coverage was somewhere around $600.
Same coverage thru Geico costs me about $200 per year, and they have not yet raised my rates, each of the last two renewals were a few dollars cheaper than the year before.

I switched my auto insurance Geico as well. Same coverage, lower rates.

Never had any problems dealing with Progressive, any claims were handled fine, they just got a bit too expensive for me.

The others I checked- Markel, Dairyland, Allstate, etc.....were all closer to Progressive's prices.

That might help explain why Flo's commercials are so demeaning to men, especially black or white men. He treats them like children.

I doubt you'll hear back. Sounds like a simple rate increase. When a company is taking it on the chin with a certain category of driver (location, vehicle model, age, or anything else), they'll increase the premiums for the drivers in that category. That will either bring in enough revenue to offset the bad claims experience in that category or cause policyholders in that category to discontinue their policy.

George Soros does not, nor has he ever, owned Progressive Insurance. About 20 years ago, Peter Lewis ran the company, and he personally donated a few million dollars to the ACLU. Peter Lewis and George Soros perhaps rubbed elbows. Peter Lewis died about 5 years ago. So basically the George Soros owns Progressive story is internet bullsh*t.

Been with Progressive for about 8 years now since USAA stopped carrying motorcycle policies. USAA sends all their motorcycle customers to progressive. Havent had any problems with rate increases etc. Maybe they give lower rates to USAA members. I only pay about $450 a year for my LRS.

I've only had Foremost and it's under $500 for 100/300 and a $100 deductible.

HA!! Here's a good one for everyone.
I WAS paying $460 for my 08 Ultra and around $700 for the OL's 16 freewheeler through Foremost/AARP. Full coverage, towing, etc. So about $1100 a year for both. Just got the new rates in. Check this out. New rates-$1745 a year!!! for same coverages. Nothing has changed with us. Good credit, no accidents, no claims, no tickets. The ultra went up about $120 and the freewheeler went up, you ready for this, $500. They said it was because of a rate increase. So I called GEICO. Same coverages except the $1500 for safety gear. Both bikes, $808 a year. So now the lizard is covering us..LOL

I just did the same thing today Izzo. Got a quote from Geico that is $60 lower than Progressive so I went for it.

Oh and I just have liability. I figure if I wreck my own bike I can afford to fix it - it's paid for.
