Default Insurance in Chicagoland Area

I currently have Geico.
I've been using them for awhile.
I jumped at their price after getting an outrageous quote with State Farm.
Could anyone recommend any good companies that are more bike friendly for someone not married and no kids.
Thanks

You may want to provide some more info, ie bike, years of riding, and the price. See your a new member, welcome.

We have brutal rates up here, I just left State Farm for the same reason, they skyrocketed here. They may just be getting out of the insurance for bikes.

I found the best choice is go with a independent insurance agent/broker in your local area. This type of guy knows all pros and cons of dozens or more companies and you can go to his office and talk "face to face" for all your questions. Talk to you family and friends for recommendations......Good Luck

I had State Farm for years. I was referred to a guy names Pat Temesvary (630-627-7754). www.illinoismetropolitaninsurance.com . This is not a selfless plug... This guy saved me a large amount. He is an independent broker . This is the first time I went this route... I feared a sub rate company.. troubles if I ever had a claim... I have to say, the service is amazing. Even if you do not go with Pat, call a broker. As 2porkey said, they now all the ins and outs. I'll never go big insurance direct again. Pat has my homes with Met life and bike with Nationwide. I called direct and Pat gave me better coverage at a better rate. Wish I had known sooner.

Rim E Ric,
Price your bike coverage out to other companies.
I have State Farm for my home and autos.
But got rid of them years ago on my bike.
State Farm is one of the highest for bike insurance.
Geico beat them by 40 percent or more.
I am looking for someone that is cheaper than Geico.

I live in central IND and I've had Nationwide for yrs on my car, truck, house and bike..

just paid $438 last week for the yr on the bike and that's with 300/300 k coverage with 3k of custom parts and their Plus tow service..

don't know if it close to what you've got..

I am at $372 and have to have $1M coverage (Escorts and parades). I will say my unit has noticed rates increasing via Nationwide (Progressive and Nationwide are the only 2 providers we have found that cover escorts and parades). Seems areas went up about 20% for us. Mot of the
unit is in the Burbs of Chicago. The guy in Crook County are the ones that seem hit the hardest with rate hike.
