Default Dairyland vs. Progressive (Harley) Insurance

I have had my insurance with Progressive (Harley-Davidson) Insurance for three years. I have had no accidents and no claims with them, so I have no experience on how well they handle claims. My policy is due for renewal in two months, so I started shopping around a bit. GEICO and Allstate were slightly more expensive, but Dairyland came in $275 less per year. I do not want to make a change if the lower priced insurance comes with headaches when you go to use them. Anyone have any experience with Dairyland during the claim process? Thanks!

A friend of mine HAD Dairyland, after losing both his scoots to a fire, he had to fight tooth and nail to get payment form them.

I do not have any experience with Dairyland as a customer of theirs but I do have experiences of having one of my customers hit by someone that had Dairyland insurance.

Dairyland did not want to pay for my clients bike or car. They fought him all the way and eventually the department of insurance forced them to pay.

I had Dairyland when I wrecked back in October 2013.

I don't recall having any issues with them on the claim. They picked the bike up in Plano and took it to Texas Harley in Bedford. The check came in a reasonable amount of time. I think the dealership had to get one amendment for something. There could have been a delay there. That was handled between the dealership and the adjuster, and since I had to wait for painted parts anyhow, it didn't make a difference to me.
