Default Rider rate hike in PA

Rider raised rates in PA which sucks because their rates used to be great.

Well I just went to Liberty Mutual and mine went way down, I think it may be because the wife and I have been accident and violation free for years. Five motorcycles, fully insured (comp & collision), $500 deductible with multiple insurance discount .............. $630 a year

Every company raises rates on different customers at different times. part of how they play the risk game. Bail out find a new insurer . Two years back Progressive doubled mine for no reason at all other than it was my turn. Switched my bikes and cars to another company that day.

Mine insurance company raised mine as well. Called and asked why. No specific reason, no accidents, no tickets, no claims. They were able to lower the rate back to what it was. I tend to think it's done in hopes no one calls back to find out why and just accepts it. I like having insurance, but I hate always thinking I'm getting screwed for having it.

Luckily I just logged into the HOG membership website because I had been hearing of insurance discounts.

Been with Progressive since 2014 and was paying over $114 a month for my 48 & Road Glide...

I opted for a quote under the Harley branch of Progressive... literally every single coverage option was better than my current and my rate dropped to $71 a month for both bikes. Even reduced the deductible by half on both bikes.

I have Rider, I'm in PA and their rates are still very competitive compared to the big houses.
This being said, rates mean nothing without knowing what is covered, the deductibles and the driver's profile.

If poor fare collection continues after "full" implementation of SEPTA Key, then those who got on the train with insufficient funds will be screwed if they get of a Center City station and can't use the exit turnstile, if SEPTA doesn't put a farecard machine in the paid area. But we don't know for sure, because SEPTA is still playing their games of obfuscation from the public. SEPTA isn't planning on selling any Key cards outside CC stations, so expect there to be mass confusion and trapped riders on day 1 of the switch. Also, because SEPTA isn't putting turnstiles at any major stations outside CC, travel between non-CC stations is essentially unaccountable, unless conductors will be instructed to enforce proof-of-payment with the validator for every single passenger.
