Progressive or State Farm

I have had both State Farm and am with Progressive now. I have been looking at other companies lately. I had State farm for 20+ years. They recently dropped me based on their 3 "incident" rule. I got rear ended on the highway when people stopped abruptly. Guy that hit me had State Farm. They no-faulted it even though the police cited the guy. My GF at the time who also had State Farm ran over some boulders with my truck when borrowing it for a Home Depot trip and then in over 20 years I actually had an accident on black ice that was my fault. The conclusion is State Farm and it's agents will get no more of my money.

I had that happen to me with Allstate - one $500 fender bender (my fault), one nasty one (I got run into while I was parked off the road), and the final straw - A neighbor fell off his bicycle into my fender and dented it while it was in my driveway... and he had Allstate too! That was my 3rd strike with Allstate within 3 years.

I have Progressive on my Road King, haven't as yet had to file a claim, and they were cheaper than other companies. But I'm seriously considering giving them the boot. My daughter had an accident, not her fault, car is totalled, she's ok. She is insured with Progressive. We have been fighting with them to get a decent payout on her car.The car is only 4 years old and was in excellent condition. The Progressive adjuster went over the car with a magnifying glass looking for anything he could could use to deduct from a settlement, any little scratch or spot on the interior was a reason to lowball us. The body shop owner said he'd never seen anything like it in over 20 years in the business. I'd think they'd try the same on me if god forbid I needed to file a claim.
