My agent retired & Safeco had sent me a letter saying "seeya" for that reason. I went to a local independent agent she was able to quote me 7 companies at one time. FL is a no fault state also, So rates were up there (1200+). Fortunately, I got into see them quick enough that she was able to transfer/continue my Safeco plan at around $700 a yr.

$960 for the year's renewal with Geico for 2 bikes with uninsured motorist and replacement for the chrome added to my Heritage, and medical. So I thought I'd check on HD's insurance and it was a little more without those things.

Guess I'm staying with Geico.

Just curious, but have you ever had a claim with GEICO, and if so, how well did they treat you?

I have had several claims under Geico for my cars - mainly hit and runs or non-insured drivers hitting one of my vehicles. Geico has always been very quick to respond and handle all claims. I have Progressive for the bike - also good coverage and response.

Default Safeco is the worst

Whatever you do, do not get SafeCo insurance. When you buy an insurance policy from them you aren't actually buying insurance. All you are doing is paying premiums. I had an auto accident and they wouldn't even send an adjuster out to look at the vehicle to even start the claims process! I called and called and called and no one would return my call. It took over a month to get anyone to look at it. I could go on and on, but if your insurance company will not even look at your vehicle then you can only imagine what you are in for.
