Default Insurance

I have had Allstate for the last 3 years insuring 3 bikes (1992 Heritage Softail, 2006 Big Bear Chopper Sled, and 2015 Ultra CVO for a cost of $798/year. I sold one bike (2006 Big Bear Chopper) and got my renewal for the other two bikes and it now $750/year. Just a decrease $48. I've been researching all the different companies and HD insurance is the least expensive at $414/year with 250/500/100 coverage. Has anyone used them? Good / Bad, any other recommendations for good reasonable insurance?

I have my cars and house with Mercury but they don’t. Insure motorcycles.

My otiginal Foremost policy premium was the most competitive I could find at the time. Then later I found that if you are a AARP member there is a big discount in my case almost 40%.

My full coverage insurance with 500 deductible, uninsured, towing I pay $325 a year. Before the AARP discount it was $700

That's a 54% discount.

I'll contact them for a quote, but I'm not and won't ever be an AARP member.

Progressive was the cheapest I could find for the bike, and I've been a State Farm customer for home and auto with no claims for 30 some odd years. I'm a veteran and everyone raves about USAA and they couldn't come close to State Farms prices on my insurance. But State Farm was 3 times the cost of Progressive for the bikes.

The 4 bikes in my signature line with my 2 kids on the policy a 19 year old daughter and 22 year old son, full coverage (no medical) is $463 per year for all of us.

If I were to move 15 minutes south of where I live now, my insurance would drop by 1/3 or more. Rates are higher because I live in Marion County (Indianapolis), even though I don't live in the city limits. I can drive/ride 1 mile west and be in another county. Rates are based some on what crime rates are in a given area.

They take into account accident and theft rates in a given area. Also matters if you keep it in a garage or on the street.

I'm on the western edge of Fairfax County. Relatively low crime area.

All my bikes are garaged at night. During the day, when I ride to work, they also go in a private garage.
No accidents that were my fault. Got backed into one and had road debris pop my tire. Got the construction company to pay that and the other guys insurance to pay for backing into me. 3 bikes $2,500 with $1k deduct.
In NY my cost from the same company was $287/per year for one bike.
Getting out of VA I think.

What is your driving record like? I haven't had a moving violation since 2010, but one accident that was attributed to me and the damage claim on the bike for that accident.

I got 4 bikes (none worth more than $5,000) and 3 riders in the household, two of them under age 25 and I'm paying less than 1/5th what you are. Where in Nova are you? I'm the western edge of Fairfax.
