Mike,
Thanks for your feedback to my call for help.
Last week I had contact with Fernet and was told they are working on a new program to cover non-US bikes which should be available in the next few months.
They will keep me posted on the progress so currently I'm in the waiting mode...

Have you talked to your current insurance company? It's possible that if your bike is insured in the Netherlands, that the coverage would still be valid in the United States.

I have, Jeff. Unfortunately insurance companies over here do not write policies outside Europe.

I think it would probably be much simpler to rent bikes at a HD dealer. Then you won't have to worry about insurance coverage and you won't have to worry about shipping them. I would think that if you call a HD dealer and let them know that you need 13 bikes, they will likely give you a pretty good discount.

Lloyd's of London seems to offer insurance for everything, You might check with the American Motorcycle Association (AMA) to see if they have an affiliation with an international insurance company.

How much does it cost to ship a bike overseas? Most generally HD dealers charge $100 to rent a bike for a day. This is just an assumption on my part, but I would imagine you could get them down to $50 a day if you rented 13 bikes and were renting for a month. So $1,500 and you wouldn't have to ship or worry about insurance. Again, I could be way off on my $50 a day assumption, but that's a thought.

For 13 bikes shippingcost in a container to and from USA is about $ 1.100.00 per bike. A 4 week Street Glide rental is about $ 2.700.00.....
