I was with State Farm for years insuring 2 bikes. I went with Progressive and insured them both for what 1 was costing with State Farm. Can't find anyone cheaper than State Farm on the House and cars, but they were way to much for the bikes and i have been with them for over 40 years. I pay $391 for a 15 tri-glide with Progressive.

Comparing what you pay to what someone else pays for insurance is relatively pointless. There are so many variables involved in premium calculations- age, gender, where you live, credit score, driving record, claims history, make and model, year of make and model, and lots more.
And that is before you start evaluating coverage differences. No one company will stand out as the best for everyone.
Get as many quotes as you can tolerate and go with one. Get new quotes every couple years, as rates can change wildly.
I get good rates from Geico, not so good from others.
Others get worse rates from Geico, and better from others....

Dairyland insurance
has anyone has to file a claim with dairlyand? I went with progressive for $197/year state minimum requirements (liability alone). I have read a few reviews and it scared me off. Driving me to go with progressive. I’m new to bikes and for my 2006 electra glide (coming from only an auto policy experience) $197/year sounded great. From what I’ve read, some of you here are paying about 3/4 less than I am. Now I feel like I’m getting raked over the coals.

I don't have any experience with Dairyland at all, but I've had several claims with Progressive over the years- mainly for cars and just recently for my boat- and the claims were all processed to my complete satisfaction. They were very easy to deal with. I've not had any motorcycle claims.
