Default I Just Saved a Bunch of Money on My Insurance...

I just saved 40% by switching the insurance on my CVO from Rider to Dairyland.
Maxed out every coverage they have, $250 deductible with vanishing deductible, new bike replacement, all OEM parts...etc. Like I said everything is max'd out. $340 / year. Doesn't get much better than that!

Big difference depending on the state you're in. I have a 2019 Sport Glide and Dairyland quoted me $935/yr for full coverage (100K/300K). I went with AllState at $625 for same coverage.

Best option is to get quotes from at least 3 different carriers--you are correct there are huge differences in the price. I've been specializing in motorcycle insurance for nearly 10 years and am appointed with many of the top carriers in the industry. Each carrier has their "Strengths" and it is up to the client to decide which benefits are more important to them.

My favorite carrier is American Modern. They provide replacement coverage for as long as you own your motorcycle. Depreciation is removed from the claim. If you bike is stolen or destroyed, it will be replaced with a brand new model. This benefit is extended to the accessories and some states the safety equipment as well.

We are appointed in California, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. If you'd like to learn more--shoot me a message.

Here to help.

When I got a bike in 2009 after a 30+ year hiatus I went with same company my car insurance was with. Mistake, they were WAY too high I had another insurance company in about 10 days. Stayed with them for over a year till I found out they made an error at the getgo. Pissed me off big time, Went "shopping" again. Dairyland had REALLY GOOD pricing for bikes and I went with them, over the phone. Called Dairyland back the next day when I had more time to discuss adding my cage and also my wife's cage. Bad news. For cars and trucks Dairyland only sells HIGH RISK insurance. Meaning High premiums, low coverages. Couldn't do it. So I cancelled the bike coverage. You really do need the discounts available when you have ALL your vehicles insured with the same company and if you can get homeowners with the same company that's a plus.

While it's interesting to see what others pay for insurance in other parts of the country, it is impossible to make any decision based on those comparisons. There are way too many variables involved. Not just the state you live in, but your zip code within that state. Another big factor is your FICO score. May not sound fair, but your credit score plays a big role in what you pay. Add to that your age, driving record, claims history, etc. On my 2018 Tri Glide, I had my broker quote numerous different carriers. I wound up with Nationwide, at $434/yr. Some of the other quotes were plain outrageous, including Dairyland who came in at $1,580 per year!

The wife and I have Geico on three bikes we share. and it's around $700/yr I think. Not bad for 2 people and three bikes.

Markel Insurance … just get a quote, takes minutes. Im loyal to NO insurance company and check rates every year.
If you don't mind paying extra money for the same insurance, then stay loyal to your current company so their shareholders get a larger return on their investments.
