To date my only experience with them is just paying them for their insurance for the past 7 years. They do have good reviews and the last I checked they were in the top 5. I had progressive before that, but they were better than $1000 a year was a bit much.

I do expect to pay more since my credit rating is ZERO! But then everything I have I paid for without taking loans of any kind including my home and I don't live beyond my means. It just keeps life real!

I had Progressive and it went up a bit last year, so I shopped around. Markel was better, so I switched over. In a couple months, I'll see how much their rate changes for me this year.

I've checked GEICO and Dairyland when I've shopped around, and they weren't even close to the other companies, for me.

I've had progressive for the last 2 years last year my premium was $457 for my 17 Road King this year they raised it to $605. I dumped them and went to Farm Bureau where my house, farm, car and truck is. I'm back at $450 for the year. I pay yearly, 53, no accidents or tickets. Same coverage.

I checked Dairyland, Markel, Progressive and Foremost (through AARP) Insurance. Always had Progressive...

Foremost was cheapest by about $100/yr. Anyone have any experience with them good or bad? Oh, and we have that sucky fee $192 for unlimited medical expenses always tacked on here in MI....

Thanks,

Tim

I just switched from $1100 (Progressive) to $496 with Foremost (AARP) on my 2016 Electra Glide Ultra
I have never had any motorcycle claims but the people on the phone were very helpful and non pressure unlike Geico which was like talking with a car salesman

I have to agree on the low key sales pitch of the Foremost sales guy. Thanks!

Foremost and Markel were pretty close for me. Im in Michigan too, so yeah the 192 fee does suck. I have progressive as well, but when i compared policies im getting much better coverage with a lower deductable for about 100 bucks a year less with markel or foremost. Both came in a few bucks of each other so im trying to research a bit to see which one I go with.

At the risk of sounding like an insurance salesman, can't say enough good things about American Family. I've been with them since 2001, and I've found they're both cheap and easy to deal with in the event of a claim. I pay $166/year for collision, comprehensive and liability, with a $100 deductible and roadside assistance, on my 2007 BMW K1200GT. Today, I bought a 2003 Sportster (hence my appearance here) and got the same coverage for $100/year. The agent told me that the premium for my BMW will go down due to multi-bike discount. I didn't bother asking by how much. I've had three significant claims, two for vandalism on a Honda ST1100, with each around $3,000, as I recall (it was years ago) and another for $5,500 when a high school kid with no insurance totaled a Honda. They also insure my Toyota Tacoma pickup for $563/year, and they have my house. They paid $900 last November when an uninsured motorist hit my Toyota. When an aquarium sprang a leak last year, they wrote me a check--a big one--to refinish my hardwood floors and said if the contractor deemed it necessary, they'd replace the floor. Zero arguments or quibbling, and my premiums have never increased.

I'm in my mid 50s, with a credit score north of 800 and no points on my license.
