I am posting this inquiry that I sent to a fellow member of the forum and would appreciate some sage insight please!

I live in Carthage, Missouri 64836 and need some advice on insurance!

I have been riding for 56 years with no claims or accidents and no tickets. State Farm insures everything I own from home owners, business owners, Farm insurance, all of my EXPENSIVE superduty Trucks and all of my past and current bikes and I have been with them since 18 years old, in Southern California. I am 72 years old now.

My rates on my recent Triumph Rocket 3 Roadster, Honda Goldwing, a total of 87 bikes up until this point have all ran less than $400 per year-----but on my 2018 Indian Scout, that I bought 6 months ago, the rate almost doubled and for no reason!

"My agent of 20 years here in town said he had no idea why the rates doubled as he uses "State Farms published rates," and can do nothing about it.

I am in the process of buying a new 2020 Electra Glide std or 2020 Street Glide and they quoted me $1,300 per year !

This doesn't make sense at all and I would appreciate your comments please.

Sam

That's what happened to me. I moved and the rep in that region decided to bend me over even though I had been with Progressive since 1983. This happened to me in 2013. I told him to take his quote and shove it!!!
