The cartridges you are referring to is for a 49mm fork only. That FKS 206 is only made for that particular model which has 49mm fork tubes. I have contacted OhlinsUSA and I was told that OhlinsUSA would send a message to Sweden/Ohlins and ask if they provide a product that is small enough to fit inside of a 39mm fork. OhlinsUSA never got back to me on that question.

Yeah..FKS 206 appears to be the ticket for 39mm forked and lowered sportster models (The nightster and 48.)

The 48(XL1200X) changed to 49mm in 2016 and it appears HD did the same for the nightster the next year.

I think the 2016-later "48" was the only Sportster to get 49mm tubes (in the US anyway)

There will not be any cartridges to fit a 39mm fork tube. Inaccurate or intercommunicated information was sent to OhlinsUSA before they ever got here.

I didn't mean to hijack your page so this is my last post of the subject. I was really just trying to give a forum supporter a shot at getting these for me. I put some money down on a set..we will see in a couple of days whats what..regards Ernie

I have no idea as I do not own any of those bikes. I have asked OhlinsUSA directly if they have 39mm fork applications on several different occasions long before this post. I still have not received a direct answer. I copied and pasted the answer I received from Ohlins. I did provide Ohlins the two fork caps part number and asked OhlinsUSA to measure them. I already have (6 pair) Dyna Ohlins cartridges for a 49mm fork to compare the measurements to from the FKC 206 and the FKS 213. That is all I can do other than purchase a set myself and measure them myself.

 

I just received the drawings on the fork caps requested. According to the drawings the FKS 206 will fit inside of a 39mm fork tube. I have been asking for this information for a few years (before 7.2016).

 

So, can you get these for the v rod? Not gonna lie, i couldnt follow a lot of what you said fit what.
